Tot kwon do is a taekwondo program for pre-school children aged 3 and 4 in our facilities in the southside and the west end of Glasgow.
Classes focus on many components of fitness including:
- Movement
- Agility
- Balance
- Co ordination
- Flexibility
But equally important to a developing child is social interaction. Tot kwon do encourages co-operation and communications with other children through play based learning.
Children learn the basics of taekwondo including blocking, punching and kicking, through play, in a non competitive, non-contact environment. Parents are more than welcome to participate in the class with their child. However if you encourage independence in your little one they are also able to take part in the class themselves.
Tot kwon do is an excellent opportunity for children to learn the fundamentals of Taekwondo while socialising and interacting with other children. Our classes also help develop concentration, focus and confidence all while having fun.
Once your child has completed the Tot kwon do programme, they can progress on to the primary school program and begin studying the martial art of Taekwondo, ultimately working towards a black belt.
Classes are lead by our fully qualified and insured instructors, Laura Sweeney of Titan Taekwondo, based in Shawlands in the south-side of Glasgow and John Haggerty of Caledonian Taekwondo, based in Netherton in the West End of the city.
